Nedbank Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Andiswa Bata (41) as Managing Executive of Nedbank Business and Commercial Banking (BCB), subject to regulatory approval. Andiswa’s appointment follows the strategic reorganisation of Retail and Business Banking and Nedbank Wealth and the resultant creation of the BCB cluster that will cover the spectrum of SME, Commercial and Mid-corp clients.
Andiswa is a seasoned banker with 18 years of banking experience across business and investment banking. Her career reflects a deep commitment to driving both performance and purpose, with a particular focus on advancing financial inclusion and supporting the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
She began her career in investment banking, holding various roles at Absa Capital and Standard Bank CIB, spanning across debt structuring, syndication & distribution, and global markets. Since joining FNB in 2018, Andiswa has held several strategic leadership roles, culminating in the position of the CEO of the FNB Business segment.
Andiswa holds a Bachelor of Business Science from the University of Cape Town.
Jason Quinn, Chief Executive, and the rest of the Group Exco and the Nedbank Board extend a warm welcome to Andiswa and look forward to working with her.
