Our results from FY25’Q3 show that this quarter has been a standout revenue period for HPE, particularly for our indirect business, which has delivered strong results and progress against our strategic priorities. Alongside this business momentum, we are celebrating the milestone we reached in the quarter with the successful close of our Juniper Networks acquisition, which will further strengthen our capabilities and position us for continued growth.
Additionally, the HPE Partner Growth Summit brought a wave of exciting announcements, showcasing our commitment to innovation and collaboration with our partner community. Among these was the launch of the new unified HPE Partner Ready Vantage Program, which consolidates existing programs to streamline and elevate the partner experience across the entire HPE portfolio.
I’m excited to reflect on the successes from this dynamic and impactful time that are propelling us forward, firmly aligned with some strategic focus areas for our partners: AI, profitability, and growth.
Empowering Partners to Drive AI Growth and Innovation
As we move to the end of FY25, HPE continues to innovate to enable customers and partners alike to capitalise on the transformative power of AI.
Momentum around AI continues to build within our partner ecosystem. In June, we announced expanded AI opportunities designed to help more partners establish and scale their AI practices. These efforts include extending our AI Focus partners to reach 20 additional countries and launching a comprehensive suite of learning opportunities and workshops aimed at enhancing partners’ AI knowledge, tools, and strategies to develop robust AI practices.
HPE Private Cloud AI has garnered strong enthusiasm and support from partners, driving incremental results. In Q3 FY25, HPE Private Cloud AI achieved double-digit year-over-year partner-led revenue growth, reflecting its growing adoption and value within the ecosystem. At HPE Discover, we further introduced a limited-time HPE Financial Services (HPEFS) financing option for the HPE Private Cloud AI Developer System. This reduced-rate financing option allows partners to spread the total cost over 36 months, making it easier for them to invest in cutting-edge AI capabilities.
Driving Partner Profitability and Unification with the New HPE Partner Ready Vantage Program
HPE remains focused on driving higher profitability through strong partnerships, empowering partners to win profitable share and enhance their capabilities in the market. The launch of the unified HPE Partner Ready Vantage program this quarter underscores this commitment by making it simpler, more flexible, and highly relevant for partners to differentiate, grow their businesses, and deliver innovative solutions that achieve exceptional results for their customers.
The new HPE Partner Ready Vantage unifies existing programs like HPE Partner Ready and HPE Partner Ready for Networking into a single, streamlined framework. Designed with partner input and built on best practices from HPE’s award-winning programs, it simplifies enrolment, offers flexible participation, and provides tailored support. With a unified compensation model and the ability to choose competencies aligned with their business goals, partners can easily differentiate, drive growth, and deliver innovative solutions in a competitive market.
As of Q3, there are more than 1,700 partners with one or more HPE Partner Ready Vantage memberships. This number is poised to grow further as we enhance program efficiencies and welcome new partners through the integration with Juniper Networks.
And we continue to expand our enablement resources—modules, certifications, and competencies—to keep up with our evolving portfolio. New additions include HPE HPC for Enterprise, HPE Aruba Networking Private 5G and HPE Solutions for Cloud IT Ops, along with tools to enhance partners' AI expertise, bringing the total to 16 competencies.
Accelerating Profitable Growth through Innovation, Partnership, and Portfolio Expansion
Our final strategic focus area centres on driving sustained, profitable growth across our broad, innovation-driven portfolio. In Q3 FY25, HPE’s innovation engine has been particularly strong, highlighted by the successful closure of the Juniper Networks acquisition, which allows HPE to offer a truly comprehensive cloud-native IT portfolio that delivers on the promise of hybrid cloud and AI. Combined with our unwavering commitment to partnership, these developments position us to continue driving impactful growth and value for our customers and partners.
Partner feedback on the Juniper Networks acquisition has been overwhelmingly positive, with great interest in HPE’s go-forward plans and enthusiastic engagement around the opportunities it creates within the partner ecosystem. The focus now shifts to seamlessly onboarding partners into each other’s programs, fostering collaboration and unlocking new growth opportunities.
Even when excluding Juniper revenues, we observed that our indirect Intelligent Edge business continued to see recovery, with double-digit year-over-year growth and slightly higher double-digit quarter-over-quarter growth. Indirect sales made a greater contribution to HPE’s overall segment revenue compared to the sequential quarter.
The partner Hybrid Cloud business remained flat year-over-year. When including Managed Services results, this partner business achieved impressive year-over-year growth, fuelled in part by the successful adoption of the expanded Morpheus VM Essentials Software portfolio within the partner community, as well as strong performance in Compute Managed Services throughout the quarter.
HPE’s entry into the virtualisation market with HPE Morpheus VM Essentials software has sparked incredible partner interest and engagement. This empowers partners with the tools to align with your customers’ long-term virtualisation strategies and the flexibility they and their customers have been asking for.
An example of our innovative, security-driven portfolio and strategic partnerships is our collaboration with partner AHEAD in Michigan, where we are supporting mission-critical hospital applications at a leading university.
“Our collaboration with HPE was pivotal in delivering a comprehensive solution to one of the most prestigious universities in the U.S., supporting tens of thousands of students and critical hospital applications. Partnering with Zerto, we tackled key challenges, including safeguarding essential hospital systems from downtime and data loss while facilitating the seamless migration of virtual machines to Azure. This was achieved through the deployment of HPE Zerto software, HPE Private Cloud Enterprise, and Migration Licenses, validated by a successful proof of concept. This success underscores the strength of strategic partnerships and our commitment to delivering customer-focused solutions that address complex IT needs." Peter Theodore, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, AHEAD
And traditional computing continues to play a pivotal role in powering solutions, showcasing a strong uptick within our Server segment. Customers are refreshing aged infrastructure with more powerful, richly configured servers.
The power of compute comes to life through our partnership with partner CDW this quarter, enabling a large health insurance company to unlock greater value for stakeholders by driving enhanced IT efficiency and streamlined operations.
| Partnering with HPE enabled us to bring forward innovative solutions that addressed the critical challenges a large health insurance company was facing with their IT infrastructure. By leveraging HPE ProLiant servers and HPE Compute Ops Management (COM), we were able to deliver a unified management platform that streamlined their operations, improved reliability, and alleviated the strain on their IT team. This partnership allowed us to not only resolve key pain points but also empower the customer to operate more efficiently and focus on delivering value to their stakeholders. It’s a testament to how collaboration and cutting-edge technology can drive meaningful outcomes for organisations”.
