Mr. Collis was elected Chairman of the Board in March 2016 and has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of AmerisourceBergen Corporation since July 2011. Prior to being named President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Collis served as President and Chief Operating Officer of AmerisourceBergen from November 2010 to July 2011; Executive Vice President and President of AmerisourceBergen Drug Corporation from September 2009 to November 2010; Executive Vice President and President of AmerisourceBergen Specialty Group from September 2007 to September 2009; and Senior Vice President of AmerisourceBergen and President of AmerisourceBergen Specialty Group from August 2001 to September 2007. Mr. Collis has held a variety of other positions with AmerisourceBergen and its predecessors since 1994.

Mr. Collis is a director and the immediate past Chair of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers. He has been a director of AmerisourceBergen since May 2011 and is the Chair of our Executive Committee. As the Chief Executive Officer of AmerisourceBergen, Mr. Collis brings to the Board extensive business and operating experience in the wholesale pharmaceutical distribution industry, knowledge of AmerisourceBergen and its history and significant executive leadership experience at AmerisourceBergen. Mr. Collis has a deep understanding of the healthcare distribution and services market and in-depth expertise regarding the competitive nature of the pharmaceutical distribution business. Mr. Collis has demonstrated strategic vision, strong creativity and entrepreneurial and leadership skills throughout his tenure at AmerisourceBergen.

An avid supporter of charities, Mr. Collis is a member of Board of Governors for the American Red Cross, providing strategic oversight to guide the organization in its humanitarian mission and services, while also serving on its Audit Committee.

Mr. Collis earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Distinction and a post-graduate Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honors from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.
