Stefan May, born on 6 November 1970 in LĂĽdinghausen, Germany, is a trained energy electronics engineer specialized in industrial engineering. He began his professional career in 1987 as an apprentice at the former VEW AG in Dortmund, Germany. Between 1992 and 1998 he then worked as a fitter in the regional operations in Beckum, Germany. From 1998 until his release as Deputy Chairman of the Works Council of MĂĽnsterland in 2000, he worked as a master craftsman for station maintenance at VEW AG. Since 2001, Stefan has been Chairman of the Works Council of Westnetz GmbH in MĂĽnster, Germany. From 2003 to 2005, he completed a part-time study at the University of Dortmund on the subject of “Management and Participation”. In 2018 he was elected Chairman of the Joint Works Council of Westnetz GmbH, resulting in the Joint Works Council of Westenergie AG group, and in 2019 he became Deputy Chairman of the Group Works Council of E.ON SE.
In addition to his work as an honorary judge at the MĂĽnster Labor Court, Stefan was also Chairman of the Training Institute for Personnel Management, Labor Law and Labor Economics (IPAA) until end of 2020.
