Shirish was Co-CEO for Citi’s Europe, Middle East and Africa business from 2008 to 2009, and Regional CEO Asia Pacific from 2009 – 2011. He was Chairman Asia Pacific Banking from 2012 until his retirement in 2014. He was on the Executive and Operating Committees of Citigroup from 2008 – 2014. From June 2014, he was an independent non-executive director at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia until stepping down in October 2022.
