His leadership was instrumental in promoting the adoption of AI and ML technologies to revolutionize healthcare delivery.
Before his tenure at AWS, Shez spent over two decades at Dignity Health, the fifth largest health system in the U.S., where he held various leadership positions. His tenure at Dignity Health was marked by his commitment to driving innovation and leveraging technology to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Shez’s career journey began in 1998 as a neuroradiologist at the Barrow Neurological Institute, where he honed his clinical expertise and gained firsthand experience in patient care. Throughout his clinical practice, Shez remained deeply involved in academia, helping launch the Biomedical Informatics Department at Arizona State University and serving as a clinical professor for three years.
Shez’s academic background is equally impressive, holding medical training qualifications from McGill University in Montreal, along with post-graduate qualifications in computer science.
