Sara Grubisic is a German Croatian professional with a diverse background in law and aviation. Born on 27 August 1971, she studied law at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, completing her legal studies in 1999 and her legal clerkship in 2002. Grubisic began her career as a flight attendant at Deutsche Lufthansa AG from 1995 to 2000. Following this, she practiced law at the Frankfurt am Main bar association until 2015, while also rejoining Lufthansa as a flight attendant in 2004.
By 2011, she advanced to Purser 1 and subsequently became actively involved in the trade union UFO. She has held various leadership roles within the union, including member and speaker of the Policy commission since 2020, and speaker of the Tariff commission from 2020 to 2023. In 2023, Grubisic joined the Executive Board of UFO as Deputy Chairwoman, responsible for tariff policy, and was elected to the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, with her term running until the 2028 Annual General Meeting.
