Richard Henry Carmona is an American physician, nurse, police officer, public health administrator, and politician. He was a vice admiral in the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and served as the seventeenth Surgeon General of the United States general, he was chairman of the state of Arizona Southern Regional Emergency Medical System, a professor of surgery, public health, and family and community medicine at the University of Arizona, and surgeon and deputy sheriff of the Pima County, Arizona Sheriff’s Department. He also served in the United States Army and the Army’s Special Forces and is a combat-decorated veteran. Dr. Carmon is a director of Axon Enterprise, Inc., The Clorox Company and Herbalife Nutrition Ltd. Dr. Carmona has been a director of the Company since September 2021 and is a member of the Compliance Committee and the Compensation Committee.
