Rahul Merchant has served as Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Client Services & Technology of TIAA-CREF, a leading financial services provider, since March 2017. Previously, he served as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of TIAA-CREF from January 2017 to March 2017 and as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of TIAA-CREF from April 2015 to January 2017. Merchant also served as Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer at Merrill Lynch & Co. from 2000 to 2006. He has also held senior leadership positions at Cooper Neff and Associates, Lehman Brothers, Sanwa Financial Products, and Dresdner Bank. Merchant previously was a member of the board of directors of Emulex Corporation, Level 3 Communications, Inc., Sun Microsystems, Inc., and Fair Isaac Corporation.
