Career
Phil joined PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as a graduate trainee accountant in 1976, becoming a partner in 1986. He spent more than 30 years as a partner at PwC and was lead relationship partner for several large FTSE 100 companies including a number of international banks and financial services institutions. He also has substantial international experience, having worked with banks across the Middle East and Asia, in particular China. He became leader of PwC’s Financial Services Assurance practice in 2007 and was appointed chairman of its Global Financial Services Group in 2011. Phil has sat on a number of global financial services industry groups, producing guidelines for best practice in governance, financial reporting and risk management.
