Peter joined Rio Tinto in March 1993 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director in June 2021, after serving as Interim Chief Financial Officer for a short period of time. As Chief Financial Officer, Peter brings extensive commercial expertise from working across the Group in various geographies. He is strongly focused on the decarbonisation of our assets, investing in the commodities essential for the energy transition, and delivering attractive returns to shareholders while maintaining financial discipline.
