Dr. Johnson, age 63, has served as the President of Wellesley College since 2016. She is a physician-researcher specializing in cardiology who founded and served as the inaugural Executive Director of the Connors Center for Women’s Health and Gender Biology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital from July 2002 to June 2016. Dr. Johnson served as the Chief of the Division of Women’s Health at Brigham and Women’s Hospital from July 2002 to June 2016. She was also a Professor of Medicine at the Harvard Medical School and Professor of Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health. She is a member of the National Academy of Medicine and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. She has been recognized with several honorary doctorates and other prestigious awards. She has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Rockefeller University since November 2021 and as a Director of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum since 2015.
