Mr. Michael Martin Rudiger serves as Independent Member of Supervisory Board at Deutsche Börse AG since May 19, 2020. He served has been the Chairman of DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale since January 2020. Mr. Rudiger has been the Chairman of the Exchange Council of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since June 2, 2017. Mr. Rudiger started his professional career in 1983 as a bank trainee at Raiffeisenbank Kurhessen eG, Kassel, Germany. He serves as Chair of BlackRock Asset Management Deutschland AG since July 1, 2020. He went on to study at Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany and graduated in Business Studies. Mr. Rudiger then joined the trainee programme of Hoffmann-La Roche, Basel, Switzerland. From 1991 to 1996, he worked in Risk Management at the former Schweizerische Kreditanstalt in Zurich, Switzerland and Frankfurt/Main, Germany before being appointed to the Management Board of Schweizerische Bankgesellschaft (Deutschland) AG, now UBS, in 1996 for two years. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Rudiger was Managing Director of Allianz Asset Management GmbH. He serves as the Chairman of Liquiditäts-Konsortialbank GmbH. Mr. Rudiger held a variety of management positions in the Credit Suisse Group starting at the end of 2000 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer for Central Europe in March 2008. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale since November 2012 until December 31, 2019. He is a member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Sparkassen- und Giroverband e.V. and Bundesverband öffentlicher Banken Deutschlands e.V. In addition to numerous volunteer activities in the arts and culture and education (in particular as a member of the Board of Trustees of Goethe University Frankfurt and a member of the Board of Management of Gesellschaft für Kapitalmarktforschung e.V.), he is also an Independent Member of the Supervisory Board of Evonik Industries AG since March 11, 2013, Head of Frankfurt Stock Exchange Council, Member of the Börsensachverständigenkommission (Exchange Experts Commission Germany) and the Exchange Council of Eurex Deutschland.
