Melanie Marein-Efron joined the Bloomin’ Brands Board in August of 2022 and currently serves as Chair of the Compensation Committee.
Ms. Marein-Efron has over 27 years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility at major retail and consumer products organizations, including the food and beverage sector at Campbell Soup Company and Godiva Chocolatier, where she helped drive top line growth and financial returns. She currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Urban Outfitters, Inc., a portfolio of global consumer brands including Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People, BHLDN, Terrain, Menus & Venues, and Nuuly, a position she has held since December 2020. In this role, Ms. Marein-Efron oversees finance, accounting, tax, business development, strategy and loss prevention. She joined Urban Outfitters in 2013 and held positions focusing on financial planning and analysis, long-range planning, and business development until her promotion to Chief Financial Officer.
Ms. Marein-Efron earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Decision Sciences and an MBA in Finance, both from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
