Mary Jackson is a retired U.S. Navy Vice Admiral with an illustrious career spanning over three decades. She graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Physics, specializing in Oceanography, and later earned a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from George Washington University

Jackson served as a Surface Warfare Officer, holding various positions aboard ships in both the Atlantic and Pacific fleets. She also commanded Naval Station Norfolk, the Navy’s largest base, and later led Navy Region Southeast and Navy Installations Command, overseeing 71 installations globally.

Her personal awards include the Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit (three awards), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and Meritorious Service Medals (three awards). Jackson is recognized for her contributions to operational efficiency, crisis response, and support services for sailors and their families.
