Marlene Debel is MetLife’s chief risk officer, head of MetLife Insurance Investments and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. In these roles, she is responsible for monitoring, analyzing and managing both financial and non-financial risk for the enterprise. She also oversees MetLife’s general account investment portfolio.
Debel previously served as executive vice president and head of Retirement & Income Solutions, the company’s institutional retirement business. In this role, Debel oversaw the growth, development and distribution of market leading businesses, including pension risk transfer; annuity and investment products for defined contribution plans; corporate and bank owned life insurance; funding for post-retirement benefits; and structured settlements. She led one of the strongest periods of growth for the business while working to ensure that MetLife delivered on its long-term promises to customers.
