She graduated in Law magna cum laude from the University of Florence in 1983. She was part of the Libonati law firm (from 1983 to 2010) and afterwards, she founded the Caiazzo, Donnini, Pappalardo & Associati law firm. From 1984 to 2009 she assisted the chair of commercial law at “La Sapienza” University, in Rome. She specialises in company law and provides legal assistance to controlling companies and groups about corporate ownership structures and corporate governance, matters about business, finance, banking and bankruptcy. She has dealt with corporate transactions of an extraordinary nature (mergers, share and asset acquisitions, public tender offers and privatizations).
She has gained a wealth of experience in litigation matters before civil courts, in the areas in which she specializes. She has taken part in arbitral proceedings both as a lawyer and as an arbitrator.
She is a member of the Italian Bar and is qualified to practice before the Italian High Courts.She was Director of Sintermar S.p.A. and Finstar S.p.A.; Common Representative of Bondholders of Generali S.p.A. (formerly INA S.p.A.) from 2000 to 2009 and member of the board of statutory auditors of Meridiana Finanza S.p.A..
She is currently a Director of BPER Banca S.p.A.
