Mr. Kissam joined Bernhard Capital Partners Management, LP, as Partner in January 2021. He previously served as Chairman, President and CEO of Albemarle Corporation, a global specialty chemicals company with leading positions in lithium, bromine and refining catalysts, until his retirement in June 2020. Mr. Kissam served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Albemarle from September of 2011 to June 2020. He was elected to the company’s board of directors in 2011 and served as Chairman of the board from 2016 to June 2020, remaining a board member until May 2021. Mr. Kissam joined Albemarle in 2003 as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary and served as Senior Vice President, Manufacturing and Law, and Corporate Secretary from January 2008 until his promotion to President in March 2010. Prior to joining Albemarle, Mr. Kissam served as President, General Counsel and Secretary of Merisant company, a manufacturer of artificial sweeteners. Mr. Kissam is a current director of OGE Energy Corp. and also serves as Chairman of the Board of Cirba Solutions, a privately held company. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Charlotte Sports Foundation. Mr. Kissam joined the Specialty Products Advisory Committee in April 2018 and served as an ex-officio member of the DowDuPont Board from April 2018 to June 2019. Mr. Kissam joined the DuPont Board of Directors in June 2019.
