Lars Rohde is a distinguished figure with a robust background in finance and economics. He currently serves on the boards of Aarhus University and Nadija Children’s Hospital & Research Institute. His previous key positions include a decade-long tenure as the Governor/Director of the National Bank of Denmark from 2013 to 2023. He also chaired the CFA Institute Systematic Risk Council between 2013 and 2019.

Before his role at the National Bank, Rohde was a board member of Aarhus University from 2011 to 2013 and served on the Long Term Investors Council at the World Economic Forum during 2011-2012. His other board memberships include FIG Ehrenversbank, FIH Holding, and Aktieselskabet between 2010 and 2012.

Rohde was actively involved in the Copenhagen Stock Exchange as a member of the Corporate Governance Committee from 2003 to 2005. His leadership roles extend to being the Chief Executive Officer of Arbejdmarkedets Tillægspension from 1998 to 2013 and Deputy Chief Executive Officer at RealKredit Danmark from 1997 to 1998. He also served as a member of the Executive Board at RealKredit Danmark from 1992 to 1997 and as the Fund Director during the same period. Earlier in his career, Rohde was the Chief Executive Officer of Lægernes Pensionskasse from 1988 to 1989 and held an academic role as an Associate Professor of Financial Planning at Copenhagen Business School from 1987 to 1993.

Rohde’s early career included positions as an economist at the National Bank of Denmark from 1982 to 1984 and at Arbejdernes Landsbank from 1981 to 1982. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics & Management from Aarhus University.
