Dipl.-Ing. Dr.-Ing. E.h. Jürgen Weber has had a distinguished career in both engineering and business management Born on October 17, 1941, in Lahr/Schwarzwald, Germany, he studied aerospace engineering at the Technical University of Stuttgart, where he earned his Diplom in 1965.

Weber began his career at Deutsche Lufthansa AG in 1967, working in various technical and management roles. He became the General Representative for Technology in 1987 and was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board in 1989. In 1990, he took over as Chairman of the Executive Board, a position he held until 2003.. 

Jürgen Weber holds an honorary doctorate in engineering, in addition to his Diplom-Ingenieur and Doctor-Ingenieur degrees. After stepping down as Chairman, Weber transitioned to the Supervisory Board, where he served as Chairman until 2013  He has also held numerous other directorship roles, including positions at Allianz Lebensversicherungs-AG, Bayer AG, Hapag-Lloyd AG, and Loyalty Partner GmbH

Weber’s contributions to the field of management and logistics have been widely recognized, and he has received several awards, including the Aerospace Laureate in 1997 and the Manager des Jahres award in 1999. He continues to be an influential figure in the business world and academia.
