About
Joseph C. Beery has been a member of our Board of Directors since April 2020. He is currently chief executive officer of LunaPBC, manager of Luna DNA, a health data platform uniting people, communities, and researchers. Mr. Beery is an experienced leader of corporate information technology (“IT”) systems with a long history in managing IT and eCommerce services for global companies. Mr. Beery joined Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., a life sciences company, in January 2014, through its acquisition of Life Technologies Corporation, a biotechnology company, and last held the role of senior vice president and chief information officer until September 2019.
Mr. Beery was the senior vice president and chief information officer at Life Technologies Corporation from 2008 to 2014 and U.S. Airways and America West Airlines from 2000 to 2008.
Mr. Beery has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of several private companies and not-for-profit organizations. Beery self-identifies as Hispanic and is a proud champion of inclusion and diversity. He has actively expanded inclusion and diversity through his work in life sciences and genomics as well as launched and led employee resource groups such as the Society for Hispanic Engineers & Professionals, Global People with Disabilities, and African American Heritage.
Beery earned a BS in business administration and business computer systems from the University of New Mexico.
