Mr. John D. Cohn has been an Independent Director of Woodward, Inc. since July 24, 2002 and was its Lead Director since November 2017. Mr Cohn has served as Senior Vice President, of Asia Business Planning and Execution, of Rockwell Automation, Inc. (“Rockwell Automation”), a global provider of innovative industrial automation and information products, services and solutions, since September 2011. Before accepting this position, Mr. Cohn served as Rockwell Automation’s Senior Vice President, of European Business Planning and Execution, from March 2009 to August 2011 and as Senior Vice President, of Strategic Development and Communications, from 1999 to 2009. Mr. Cohn was responsible for strategic development and planning activities as well as a broad range of global marketing and communications activities, including corporate marketing, public relations and shareowner and employee communications at Rockwell. Mr Cohn served as Vice President of Global Strategy Development of the avionics and communications business of Rockwell Automation. Mr. Cohn served as Vice President, Global Strategy Development of Rockwell Collins where he architected the strategic and financial planning process. Since joining Rockwell Automation Inc. in 1979, Mr. Cohn held several senior management positions. He has expertise in global market and business development, execution of focused initiatives and experience with leading organizations through change management, mergers and acquisitions. He also has extensive knowledge and direct experience in both the industrial and aerospace markets. He served as the Managing Director of Collins DASA Avionics Systems GmbH. He served as Rockwell’s Regional Director-Europe, responsible for a wide range of business and market development activities. Mr. Cohn joined Rockwell as an international trade specialist in 1978. He serves on the Boards of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and Congregation Shalom. He is also a Member of the Marva Collins Preparatory School of Wisconsin Capital Campaign Cabinet. Mr. Cohn graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor’s degree in Russian Area Studies in 1978. He earned a Master’s degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of Pittsburgh in 1984.
