Dr. Ilya Hartmann, a distinguished leader in the wind energy sector, was born on January 22, 1973, and holds German citizenship. He embarked on his professional journey as a lawyer, practicing at law firms in Frankfurt and Berlin. Prior to transitioning to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) side of the wind energy industry, Dr. Hartmann gained valuable experience working for Acciona Energy for several years.

In 2007, Dr. Hartmann assumed the role of Managing Director for Germany, overseeing operations in the German market. Subsequently, in 2009, he was appointed Director Europe, relocating to Spain to manage operations across the continent. In 2012, Dr. Hartmann ventured to North America to serve as CEO for Acciona Energy until 2017, leading the company’s endeavors in the region.

Following his tenure in North America, Dr. Hartmann relocated to Hamburg with his family to join the Nordex Group. Initially assuming the position of Head of People and Culture in 2017, he later transitioned to the role of CEO of Division Europe in March 2018.

Dr. Hartmann’s contributions to Nordex Group were further recognized when he was appointed as a member of the Management Board of Nordex SE, effective January 1, 2021. Subsequently, on March 1 of the same year, he assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer. His current appointment is slated to continue until June 30, 2025.

Dr. Ilya Hartmann’s academic background includes legal studies conducted in Freiburg, Seville, Bonn, and Berlin, culminating in a PhD in Law.

Dr. Hartmann’s diverse expertise, strategic acumen, and leadership skills have been pivotal in driving Nordex SE’s growth and success in the wind energy sector. As Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Management Board, he continues to steer the company towards achieving its strategic objectives and enhancing shareholder value.
