Edwin’s illustrious career spans over three decades, marked by his strategic leadership roles in renowned multinational corporations. Prior to joining Philips in August 2020, Edwin served in various senior executive positions at Cisco Systems, a global technology leader. As Senior Vice President Global Specialists at Cisco, he led a diverse sales force specializing in areas such as the Internet of Things (IoT), networking, data center, cloud, collaboration, cybersecurity, and services. His tenure at Cisco was characterized by his visionary leadership and strategic initiatives aimed at driving growth and innovation.
Before his tenure at Cisco, Edwin held the position of President of Cisco Systems EMEA, where he played a pivotal role in expanding Cisco’s presence and market share across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Edwin’s career journey also includes a stint at Bakkenist Management Consultants, where he served as a Partner in the IT practice, focusing on strategic consulting services. Prior to that, he began his career in 1987 at TNO, the Dutch Institute for Applied Research, where he specialized in high-performance computing and applied computer science.
