From 1993 to 1997, Ms. Crew served as a captain in the United States Army, in military intelligence. Ms. Crew served as a director of Reynolds American from January 2017 until July 2017, when Reynolds American became an indirect, wholly-owned subsidiary of British American Tobacco p.l.c.

Ms. Crew is 51 years old and is Chair of the Compensation and Talent Development Committee and a member of the Finance and Pension Committee and the Executive Committee.
