Mr. Hanson currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of 3M’s Health Care Business Group and he will lead the future independent health care company when it is spun off from 3M. Prior to 3M, Mr. Hanson was most recently President, CEO and Chairman of Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Inc., a global medical technology leader with a comprehensive portfolio of technologies and therapies designed to maximize mobility and improve health. Prior to joining Zimmer Biomet, Mr. Hanson served as a member of Medtronic’s Executive Committee and as Executive Vice President and Group President, Minimally Invasive Therapies Group of Medtronic, where he oversaw and provided strategic direction to that approximately $9 billion business. Prior to joining Medtronic, Mr. Hanson served as Group President, Covidien, with global responsibility for all Covidien business segments. Mr. Hanson also serves on the board of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed).
