Birgit Rohleder, born on 21 September 1960 in Niedernhausen, is a German national currently serving as the Team Leader for IT Application Management Airport Services at Deutsche Lufthansa AG. She is also on leave of absence from the Works Council.
Rohleder’s educational background includes training as a foreign language correspondent (English) from 1979 to 1980, followed by studying Business Administration with a specialization in Passenger Transport and IT at Fachhochschule Heilbronn, where she earned her diploma in 1985.
Her professional career began as an administrative clerk for data processing at Wuppertal City Council from 1985 to 1990. She joined Deutsche Lufthansa AG in 1990, where she has held various positions in Information Management and IT Infrastructure worldwide. She advanced to Area Head in 2003 and later to Team/Group Head in 2006. Since 2002, Rohleder has been a member of the Works Council at Deutsche Lufthansa AG in Frankfurt and, since 2014, has been on leave of absence as Chairwoman of the Interest Group for Non-tariff Employees.
On 8 May 2018, she was elected to the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, with her term lasting until the Annual General Meeting in 2028. She currently holds no additional supervisory board memberships required by statutory law or comparable domestic or foreign controlling bodies of commercial enterprises.
