Benjamin Otto (born 1975) was Managing Director of the e-commerce start-up Collins within the Otto Group from 2012 to 2015, which developed into the fashion and technology company About You in 2014. Since June 1, 2015, he has been a member and creative partner on the Otto Group Board of Partners and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Michael Otto Foundation as the majority shareholder of the Otto Group. Benjamin Otto is a committed investor in the start-up and venture capital sector. He is co-initiator and anchor investor in the Revent impact tech fund. His foundation contributes actively to social concerns. Benjamin Otto completed a banking apprenticeship at Germany’s oldest private bank after graduating from high school. He then went on to study international business at the European Business School in London. Driven by his passion for technology and entrepreneurship, he worked for periods in Madrid and Buenos Aires, before establishing Intelligent House Solutions in 2002 as a provider of high-quality architecture and innovative technology for private and commercial buildings. What began as a small company in a niche market rapidly developed into evoreal Holding, a medium-sized group for project development, which Benjamin Otto sold in 2018. On a charitable level, Benjamin Otto and his wife are involved with the Holistic Foundation and the HHI Holistic Health Institute Foundation, which advocates the use of holistic, alternative treatment methods.
