He has been a Member of the Executive Board and Member of Supervisory Board of Linde Gas AG since August 1, 2001. He has been a Independent Member of Supervisory Board at Evonik Industries AG since May 24, 2017. He serves as a Director of TĂśV SĂśD AG. He has been a Director of Ikaria, Inc. since March 2007.
